Alone In The Dark | Wedding at Castleton – Windham, NH | Photo Blog

Driving to the venue, I was listening to a pod-cast about photography. Imagine that! It was about a two hour drive through the New Hampshire mountains down to the southern part of the state. It was very cloudy when I left from my home. It never seemed to break and it only got worse as I got closer to the wedding venue. About an hour away, the sky opened up and the rain was pouring down. I knew the venue had a backup plan for rain, but let’s face it, Plan “B” is never the best plan. As luck would have it, I was about 15 minutes from Castleton, and the rain just stopped. I had driven through the storm and out the other side. It was still very cloudy but not wet and not rain, so let’s get married! The wedding went off without a hitch. The couple was happy to create some portraits together. After dinner and a bit of dancing, I had them join me outside for a few shots in the dark. Here is one I grabbed for quick edit and a little sneak peek.
