You need to use your camera and learn how to use it. I love the self timer for many reasons. One of the get features in almost every camera out there today is the self timer. This way you can get in the photograph with your family. Just set up on a tripod or a low wall car roof or what ever will let use this feature capture the memory. One tip is that you want to make sure you frame the shot well and take the time to get every one else ready and let them know were you will stand so that your space is free when you are ready.

It may be hard to pick a favorite season in New Hampshire. For me, it is Autumn! There are so many colors everywhere you look that it can be hard to keep your eyes on the road when driving. I drive my family crazy with the amount of times that I need to pull over to take a photo. It takes us hours to get to our original destination. Thank goodness we have lives that enable us to live life in the slow lane! Here is one of the many shots I took on this one particular day out with my family.

It seems like I get photos of buildings right before they are demolished! As I was shooting here, a car pulled over and the driver told me that the building was going to be torn down and a new office building was going to be put in it’s place. She told me that the new building would be very close to the original design. I am looking forward to shooting it when it is complete! I love expansion and growth! This is the 3rd building in the last year I have photographed that is no longer standing. Down with the old – up with the new!

I love the fall. There is so much for a photographer to look at, so many colors. We live on 35 acres with a wide range or land types. From a step cliff to a babbling brook even a few rolling hills. We have very thick forest and a few open fields. We are very lucky. In one area we have a old marshy spot. That is where this photo comes form in the shallow waters at the edge of this dead part of the forest. Where the beavers had lived so many years ago. They killed a few acres of forest and as it tries to grow back we get to enjoy small gifts like this.

When I look at this building I still can not believe that it was moved over 1 mile from were it was built nearly 100 years ago. They had to have the power and phone companies lead and follow this massive building so that they could remove and replace all the street wiring on the trip. It was many years ago that is was moved and I wish I had a time machine to go back and take some photos on that day. Most of our little town turned out for the move. Lining the streets with chairs making it a neighborhood affair. I was so lucky to have to wait for the sand pit to free up with many people using it to sand their driveways. The clouds were so awesome.
