The Day After – Same Sex Marriage In NH |New Hampshire Wedding Photographer
They say timing is everything. This one was right on the money. The day after the Supreme Court made same sex marriage legal in all fifty U.S. states, I had the great fortune to be part of one. I had this wedding booked for sometime. The timing of the courts actions was just divine. It made their day even more special. The wedding was great. We started on time had a fifteen minute ceremony were both of the brides shared the vows they had written for each other. They were short and loving. Talking a bit about their time together so far on their journey. There was many smiles and looks back at the guests as if to let them all know they were important to the couple. The couple had chose to have a firsts look before the wedding. They had spent the early part of the day together with their wedding party. The only time they were apart was to put on their wedding dresses. I walked one bride to the meeting spot and had the other joins us ten minutes later. The second bride walked into the garden and down the steps to her sweetheart. I had her pause so I could capture a few photos of her by herself before they saw each other.
