This summer I witnessed many different styles of weddings. One common thread that was present at each wedding was love from family and friends. I photographed a small intimate wedding at the Christmas Farm Inn & Spa, in Jackson NH. There was a total of 13 people at the ceremony included the bride and groom. It did not matter the number of people because the amount of love was at maximum capacity. When i first met Melissa, I saw right away she was an easy going and fun bride. What made it even better was that her soon-to-be- husband was all about what ever she wanted to do for photos. Before the wedding started, we did a “first look.” That is a time for the groom to see his bride for the first time that day or the first time in her dress. Before the first look, we had them together using a small old barn as a space to be together, yet not see each other yet. Then we picked a nice spot on the lawn near some trees and a small arbor. Once the couple had joined they chatted for a bit and took some candid photos. Then, we made some bride portraits. I love to use the doors or large buildings, as a way to take advantage of negative space. I feel, at times, these moody photos add a feeling of togetherness even know the couple is posed away from each other. Once the “I Do’s” were said, we headed down the street to Jackson Falls for some photos. After we came back to the venue at the Christmas Farm Inn for dinner. Dinner was so good and a nice dinning atmosphere, but before dinner we did a few shots at the inn itself. Here are some of my favorite picks!. Please comment below if you enjoy the photos.
