With all the history in New Hampshire, it is hard to find a wedding venue that doesn’t have a back-story or state legacy. There is some history in Laconia, N.H., Belknap Mill is a historic hosiery factor.y What better place to have your wedding? The venue is in a large brick building. After you get married outside at the gazebo next to the Winnipesaukee River, you can walk down the stone walkway to your guests and loving partner.
If you are get married in the spring, you will have the beautiful flowers on the budding tress. If your wedding is in the fall, you will have the color of the foliage all around you. Even though this venue appears to be in a busy part of tow, it is surprisingly quiet and intimate. There is many spaces to take photos with family and your wedding party on the grounds of the, Belknap Mill. The river the gazebo and a small private park are just a few spots that are adjacent to the brick building mill was housed in.
The Mill hosts the reception on the 3rd floor. The interior of the hall has many windows and its original industrial-style brick walls. The bride wanted to do a special photo for her parents at one point, so we went outside with a custom- made sign and created the photos she wanted. Here is just a few of the photos from this unique October wedding.
One of my favorite photos was the one here with this young child sitting on the dance floor with their stuffed animal. It was just a fleeting moment before her parents came out to dance with her, that I noticed and quickly snapped a photo. I was happy to be able to capture this moment. With seventeen weddings under my belt this past year, I’ve learned what to look for in the moments in between the major wedding moments. Sometimes, the little things become just as powerful and meaningful moments and bring such uniqueness to each wedding photography experience.
