Getting Married at The Margate Resort | The Margate Wedding Venue In Laconia New Hampshire | Joe Martin Photography
Lake Winnipesaukee. (Yes, that is spelled correctly. I checked it twice) On and around the lake you will find many restaurants, hotels and homes. You will also find boats for rent, small cruise ships and many resorts. One resorts is a highly sought after as a New Hampshire wedding venue. I have photographed four weddings there. Why The Margate Resort in Laconia, NH ? For one, you have the lakeside Pavilion. There is no place like it. Under the pavilion, you have a seated ceremony space, with surroundings that are near unmatched. You are getting married just feet from the lake. The view of the mountains is your backdrop.
Another great feature about The Margate is that here, you get to pick one of their three reception spaces. These can be limited due to the number of guests or how far ahead you have booked your wedding. One of the more popular spots is the tented space on the resorts west lawn. This space can hold up to 500 guests and is sure to help you capture the perfect sunset photos. They have two inside rooms as well The Mariah room with the giant floor to celling windows looking out over the lake. The space accommodates up to 120 people and will make you feel like as special as the sunset views with the large dance floor and granite bar. The other indoor space is the Main Ballroom, the larger of the two indoor reception halls. The Main Ballroom can hold up to 300 guests and feels even larger with mirrors lining the walls. No matter the spot you pick to have your wedding reception, fun is sure to be had. All the weddings that I have photographed there have been very amazing. The food has been top notch and the staff has bent over back words to make sure the wedding runs on time and smooth.
If you chose The Margate, they can supply your very own fireworks display! That is a cool feature for a wedding photographer. I love to capture great photos of the couple, with the fireworks lighting up the sky. They also set up and light and a campfire on the beach, so the late night party goers, or your guests and family, that are staying at the resort, will have a little more time together in a more intimate setting.
