Kennett High School Senior Portrait Session With Maddy | New Hampshire Photographers Blog
- by Joe
Last week, I met with Maddy and her aunt, to create some senior photos, as well as capturing a memory of this time in her life. I had never met Maddy until the day the shoot, and we began at her family home. We used the tall grass next to her home to capture the first few photos. Then we moved to some colored leaves to capture the beautiful fall color. In just a short time, we moved on to my property just down the road from her home. I like to toss a cool chair in a nature environment and use that as a added prop for some shots. I get a lot of comments about my chair photos and they have become one of my “signature shots.” When we were done with the chair shots, we set up on a nearby stone wall. I had her aunt, Lee, hold a light for me to take a few head shots. It is always nice to involve the teens family in the shoot. It makes for a very fun experience. Thanks, Leigh for all of your help! Once home, I loaded the session into my computer and went to work in Lightroom (a popular photo editing software.) I aim for between 30-40 finished edited portraits and I ended up delivering sixty two images, when all the photos were done. Maddy, I hope your final year of school is the best you can make it! Good luck as you head off in to the world.
